Back of book:  Although dad moves around a lot I still look forward to seeing him. Sometimes the person I want to see the most in my dad.  When he is around the world seems more magically

My Review: This is a heartbreaking and yet very true story about a little girl and her longing to have her dad more in her life. The story is written is a first person narrative which makes the feelings from the little girl seem more real. I tend to have a thing for beautiful illustrations and Raul Colon does extremely gorgeous work. Each picture is breathtaking and draws a reader in. This is an excellent story to share with a child who is separated from a parent.  It shows readers that even though a parent may be absent from a child’s life they still love them.
