My Review: I bought this book last year on a recommendation. I read it to my class and they adored it. I quickly have bought the rest of the series. This book goes through all the things needed for a new school year. In this story she swallows some books, a pen, a pencil case, a ruler, folder, chalk, and a bag. I would read each page and then ask my students what they thought the old lady would swallow next? They loved the guessing game and it keeps them intrigued in the story. The rhyming is fun and the ending makes the children laugh. Overall a great book to start school with.
