Back of Book:

This funny, touching picture book –the perfect gift for a child to give to his/her own teacher– celebrates the difference a good teacher can make. Written as a thank-you note to a special teacher from the student who never forgot her, this moving story makes a great read-aloud and a perfect gift for Teacher Appreciation Day or the end of the school year.

My Review:

I heard about this story and knew I had to read it. All I can truly say is WOW! This book perfectly portrays a teacher’s main goal, to be remembered. This is not a story for students but for a teacher. I have been a Kindergarten teacher for the last two years. I have had many of the moments that are discussed in this book. As a teacher every year you get one student who acts just like the girl in the story. Those are the students who can drive a teacher nuts, but they love them anyways. I cried reading this book because my hope as a teacher is to inspire students to do more and be more then they imagined. I believe this book is a perfect end of year gift for a teacher. If you are a teacher, read it and remember that the child who is the hardest to love, gives the greatest reward.
