Back of Book:
Princesses Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Rapunzel swap fairy tales with one another in this hilariously clever new classic! What happens when Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Rapunzel get so fed up with their fairy tales that they decide to switch places with one another? Hilarity ensues in this clever, rhyming story about whether the grass really is greener at someone else’s castle.
My Review: I love fractured fairy tales! I have learned that students enjoy reading familiar stories that are in a fun new format. The story follows Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and Snow White. All the princesses are tired of their lives. So, they go off and trade lives with each other. The text is in a rhyming pattern which makes it a fun and engaging story. Each princess takes a turn in another girl’s life. This leads them all to the conclusion that they appreciate their own lives. The illustrations are fun and draw readers into the fairy tale world. I think this is an excellent addition to any fairy tale unit.
