Here comes kindergarten! Whether your little reader is gearing up for the first day or making her way through the school year, K is for Kindergarten will help guide them with silly rhymes and fun activities from A to Z.
My Review:
I picked this book during a recent trip to the bookstore. I absolutely love this story and how this book is set up. Each letter of the alphabet has a Kindergarten countdown that talks about all the fun things students can expect in Kindergarten. I also loved that each page has a Kinder challenge. I loved that the Kinder challenge is full of ideas that teachers can do throughout the school year. I also loved that this book gives children ideas on how they can practice at home. For example the letter B stands for books. The paragraph goes on to tell children how they can read books with their parents, and that we read books from left to right. I love that this book engages the parents as well as the students. The illustrations are sweet and involve students working together to accomplish tasks, or play. This is a must read for any Kindergarten teacher.
