Back of Book: Sarabella is always thinking—conjuring, daydreaming, and creating new worlds from her imagination. There is so much going on in her head that it can barely be contained. But there are times when daydreaming is decidedly not a good thing—like when you’re supposed to be doing multiplication tables. Luckily, Sarabella has an understanding teacher and with his encouragement She comes up with her own idea to show everyone who she is.
My Review:
This is a beautiful look at one little girl who is unable to focus. Sarabella has so many thoughts in her head that she can’t keep track of them all. She sits in class and daydreams instead of doing her classwork. The story follows the many things that Sarabella thinks about. Some big things, and some little things. I love that the book talks about Sarabellas family, and how they love her, even with her head in the clouds. This book is a perfect read aloud to teach children creativity and imagination. The ending of the story is fun and is a great idea for a craft, or writing activity. I loved the teacher I hope that as a teacher, I can inspire my students that she inspired Sarabella. I highly recommend this story for all the dreamers in your life.
