Back of Book:
Turkey is in trouble. Bad trouble. The kind of trouble where it’s almost Thanksgiving . . . and you’re the main
course. But Turkey has an idea–what if he doesn’t look like a turkey? What if he looks like another animal instead?
After many hilarious attempts, Turkey comes up with the perfect disguise to make this Thanksgiving the best ever!

My Review:
This is the kind of read-aloud that will make children laugh out loud! Readers will love the following turkey as he tries to look like every other animal so he won’t be eaten. Sadly, nothing he tries is working. I love this book for many reasons. It is the perfect book to read before introducing a writing assignment. One of the fun things to do with this story is to let the students try to disguise the turkey as a different animal. This story is always at the top of my read-aloud list for Thsnsgiving. The illustrations in this book are fun watercolors that bring the turkeys plight to life. I was very excited when I saw this in the Scholastic catalog. I highly recommended it to all my parents.
