Back of Book:
Too sick to perform his job, Groundhog interviews other animals to come out of his hole on Groundhog Day.
My Review:
This is a truly an adorable story about what happens when Groundhog gets the flu and cannot come out to show his shadow. He decides to advertise for a substitute to go outside. The problem is that no animal is able to do it correctly. Until finally a random animal called an Armadillo from Texas saves the day! This is a perfect read aloud for Groundhog Day. The illustrations are soft and light. The text is simple and good for beginning readers.  Great for preschool and Kindergarten ages.  I highly recommend this book!
