My Review:
Abraham Lincoln has been my favorite president since I in high school. I love teaching my students about the strength of courage that he had. Abe’s Honest Words is a beautiful picture book biography that shows the depth of President Lincoln. I love that at the bottom of each page is a quote that Abraham Lincoln said. This book is beautifully written. It tells readers about the life Abraham lived, and how he worked to make the United States a better place. Kadir Nelson is a gifted illustrator and his pictures bring this book to life. This is a perfect book for older children who want to do research on the 16th president of the United States. The back of the book has important dates and resources for readers to learn more about Lincoln. One of my favorite biographies to date about President Lincoln.
