Back of Book:
A diverse, kid’s-eye view of adoption, one special day, and familial love, Babies Come From Airports has a child-friendly rhyming text and lively and colorful illustrations filled with details. It’s a heartwarming adoption story for any and all kinds of families, steeped in love.
My Review:
I absolutely love reading picture books about adoption. I feel like the concept of adoption is not spoken about enough in classrooms. The story follows a family as they prepare for their international adoption. The story is told from the point of view of the older brother. He shares all the ways that his family prepares to have a new little sister. The book discusses several aspects of an adoption. Like all the paperwork that is necessary to adopt, and the time it takes to adopt. The illustrations are sweet and show the beauty of a diverse family.  The ending is sweet and will make readers smile.
