Back of Book:
Cookiesaurus Rex may not be your usual holiday treat, but he has plenty of Christmas spirit. He would like nothing more than to make it onto Santa’s cookie plate. After all, the Big Guy should have only the best cookie to take back to the North Pole. But Mr. Spatula chooses Star, then Bell, and finally Gingerbread Boy. . . . WAIT ONE STINKIN,’ STOMPIN’ MINUTE! Looks like Cookiesaurus Rex is going to have to take matters into his own tiny arms. Will his Christmas dreams come true, or will his holiday dreams be crumbled?
My Review:
I was sent a copy of this book from author Amy Fellner Dominy in exchange for an honest review. My students absolutely loved the first Cookiesaurus Rex story. They begged me to read it over and over again. When I saw that Amy had created a Christmas version, I knew I wanted to add it to my Christmas list. I am happy to say that this is a perfect sequel to the Cookiesaurus Rex book. In this story Cookiesaurus wants to be picked as a cookie that goes on Santa’s plate. What follows is fun dialogue between Cookiesaurus and the cookie maker. Readers will laugh out loud with all the fun and creative antics. The illustrations are filmier and fun. I can’t wait to share it my class.
