One of my Kindergarten social studies units focuses on symbols of the US Travel Guide for Monsters is a perfect book that captures the amazing landmarks of the United States. The monsters begin in California and travel across the country stopping at well-known tourist attractions. The text is catchy and written in a rhyming scheme. The illustrations by Dave Szalay are bright and cheerful. Readers will love seeing each monster and their antics. This book is a perfect escape to other places.
