Ocean! Waves for All By Stacy McAnulty & David Litchfield

Back of Book:

From writer Stacy McAnulty and illustrator David Litchfield, Ocean! Waves for All is a light-hearted nonfiction picture book about the formation and history of the ocean, told from the perspective of the ocean itself.

My Review:

I received a copy of this picture book from Macmillian Publishing in exchange for an honest review:

The fourth book in the (OUR UNIVERSE) series focuses on all the many components of the ocean. Written in a first-person narrative reader’s follow Ocean as he introduces them to all aspects of the water world. Each page focuses on different nonfiction facts about the ocean including the layers, life, formation, and history. The text also focuses on pollution and people can help prevent it.

David Litchfield’s vibrant illustrations perfectly capture the text and the message. I loved all the details that showcase all the living things within the ocean. The back of the book shares more detailed information about how we can help stop pollution in the ocean.

This is a perfect book to add to any nonfiction science or earth unit.

I hope that Stacy continues to write more books in this series.
