Frank and his wife Carla have created a stunning lyrical book that focuses on all aspects of being a girl. Each page skillfully addresses a different topic that girls of all ages can relate too. They took several of the female stereotypes that all girls come up against and encouraged readers to be strong in everything they do. The text discusses the importance of helping others, standing up for what is right, being a good friend, staying creative, and more. Every aspect of the text encourages girls to be brave take action, and love who they are. The illustrations by Kayla Harren are true works of art. She highlights diversity and inclusion on every page. I am always in awe of how she brings stories to life. The back of the book has a note from the authors as well as a writing activity that discusses creating a gratitude journal. This is the kind of book that should be in the hands of all girls.
