This joyful and sweet book by Nancy Viau allows readers to feel like they are experiencing a day at the beach. The story follows four children as they play, and explore everything the seaside has to offer. The descriptive language and rhyming text allow readers to experience all the sights, sounds, and excitement of playing at the beach. The illustrations by Charlie Alder are bright and playful. I loved all the details that she placed on each page. This makes a perfect read-aloud for any beach or summer themed unit.
