Who Is in the Egg? By Alexandra Milton

Back of Book:
In the nest, in the swamp, in a tunnel underground, there are eggs . . . with something hatching inside. Discover some of the baby animals that begin their life in an egg. It isn’t just chicks! Along with the birds, there are turtles, alligators, penguins, and even a platypus.
My Review:
I received a copy of this picture book from Boxer Books in exchange for an honest review.
“Who is in the Egg” written and illustrated by Alexandra Milton is a wonderful nonfiction story that follows several different animals and the eggs that they come from. Each page has interesting scientific information about the animals that readers will love. The illustrations
are detailed with soft muted colors that capture each animal beautifully.
As a teacher, I look forward to sharing this story with my class it is a perfect addition to any animal unit.
