Are You Eating Candy without Me? By Draga Jenny Malesevic & Charlotte Bruijn

Back of Book:
Four different children from three different families ponder what the adults in their lives do during the day. Are they jumping on trampolines? Are they eating cake and ice cream while riding birthday ponies? Are they eating candy with other adults? After a series of hilariously illustrated and wildly imaginative scenarios, readers learn an important lesson: The adults who love them think about them constantly and are most definitely, certainly, ABSOLUTELY . . . not eating candy without them. Or are they?
My Review:
I received a copy of this picture book from author Draga Jenny Malesevic in exchange for an honest review.
“Are You Eating Candy without Me?” showcases four adorable children as they think about the idea of what parents do while they are at school. The text is written in a second-person narrative and follows the children as they imagine the crazy and exciting things that parents are doing while they are away. The examples include going to fancy parties, climbing trees, and eating all the candy! The illustrations by Charlotte Bruijn are bright and imaginative. Children and parents will laugh throughout this creative and fun story.
