“Thanks A Ton” follows a young elephant who has a hard time expressing in words how much small kindnesses have meant to them, so they offer up stuff instead. The text is full of clever connections like letting them win deserves a terrapin turtle, and making them smile deserves a crocodile. The text also shows readers the value that small acts of kindness can have. The rhyming text is well versed and keeps readers wondering what the next animal could be. The illustrations are charming, each page is filled with bright images of all kinds of animals. This book is perfect to teach young audiences about the importance of saying thank you. I can see using this book as apart of my Social and Emotional Curriculum. Hello Lucky created another fantastic story that readers will love.
