Back of Book:
Mootilda’s in a bad mooood! She wakes up on the wrong side of the barn and experiences one ca-lamb-ity after another. She skips and trips and spills milk everywhere. She tries to alley-oop but misses the hoop, and there’s a big crash at the chicken coop. Her day has been terri-bull! Is there any way Mootilda can turn her bad mooood around?
My Review:
I received a copy of this picture book from author Corey Rosen Schwartz in exchange for an honest review.
“Mootilda’s Bad Mood” By Corey Rosen &, Kirsti Call is a relatable and important social and emotional book. Readers follow Mootilda a pouty cow who wakes up in a mood that affects her entire day. Every activity Mootilda is apart of ends in disaster! Finally, with a little help from the chickens, Mootilda is able to turn her bad mood around. Corey and Kirsti did a fantastic job of ensuring that the rhymed and is cleverly filled to the brim with cow puns. The illustrations by Claudia Ranucci are bright and showcase a fun variety of farm animals. “Mootilda’s Bad Mood” is a terrific social and emotional story that shows children how they turn their bad moods around. A great addition to any classroom or home library.
