Why I love it:

I recevied a copy of this picture book from Running Press Kids in exchange for an honest review.

Children are naturally curious about the world around them. As a teacher, I have been asked numerous times who invented toilet paper and why we use it. Sophia Gholz’s new book A History of Toilet Paper (And Other Potty Tools) is a perfect way to combine the history of inventions in a fun and humorous way. I was amazed at the ways bathrooms and potty habits evolved over time. Sophia weaved history and humor together that will engage readers from beginning to end. The illustrations by Xiana Teimoy are detailed, colorful, and historically accurate. The back of the book includes a time, authors note, and glossary. This informational book is perfect for a classroom inventions unit, or a fun bedtime read aloud.
